Question by : How should I go about running eg start with doing 5 mins etc?
I have been running on treadmill for 5mins per day and have gone up to doing 10mins a day for a week. I am 30. I just wondered if there was a set rule for starting out. My goal is to reach 50 mins. Can any running experts advise me please?

there is absolutely no rule for running. you do what your body can handle, which means you don’t want to run too much too soon or you could seriously injure yourself. you can start by running and walking. run for 5 min, walk for 3-5 min. then repeat. work it up so you’re doing more minutes of running and less of walking. if you go to a local gym, just ask to talk to somebody who knows about running, and ask their opinion
