Question by Dreamer: Do you have a family member who is really addicted to watching television?
My father is one of them, and he is driving me nuts! He has the volume incredibly loud, even though he’s not hard of hearing, and he watches the most obnoxious television programs in the entire U.S.A.! I’m ready to throw the television in the trash can.

Eventually, because of the loudness of the tv, he might not hear as well as he used too. Tv is great and quite relaxing, but shouldn’t be done all day long.
If your concerned politely tell him the loudness is bothersome and he might listen. But since he most likely pays for tv service and such, try to be understanding. If nothing works, try to go to another room.

he watches horrible shows that make me want to cry!
just to piss him off, you should stand/sit in front of the tv while he’s watching it
or
keep muting the tv but hide so he doesn’t see you.

tell your dad that what he watches is kinda weird and that u cant take the volume anymore and to turn it down. im the same way at my house i wont stop because i love T.V. and sometimes i wont turn the volume down! tell him it annoys u hope this helps
Yep. 39 yrs old, does not work and huff rubbing alcohol on and off all day. The locks are being changed thurs and she goes out on the street. I will allow her to sleep here but not lounge all day when she should be working. She’s addicted to the food network and cartoon network. I’m at wits ends. I feel ya pain buddy. Happy New Year
