Question by Emily: In the state of Georgia, what rodents or small animals are legal to have as pets without any kind of permit?
I’d read a while ago that animals such as Degus are illegal in the state of Georgia, is this still true? If so, what kind of small pets are legal?

Your best bet is to go to a local pet store. I live in Ga and as far as I know there are no legal objections to have any kind of small pet. If you have a specific animal in my then search the internet. You can try Macon Pets in Macon Ga. They should be able to tell you what you want to know. Here is a link to there info and website.
