Question by Colby: Is there any way to get free of charge e-books for a Kindle?
I want to get a kindle, but I don’t know if it is really worth it if the e-books are no cheaper. I notice some sites on the world wide web offer no cost e-publications, but numerous are for nooks and such. Also, it has to be authorized.

I Have a kindle and i’m telling you it is worth it
The only downside of getting a Kindle (or any other ebook reader) is that you’ll want to buy a book every week lol
You can get most classics on the Project Gutenberg website, since most classics are out of copyright.
http://www.gutenberg.org/wiki/Main_Page
You can find Ulysses, The Art of War, Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland, the Adventures of Huckleberry Fin, and many more. According to the website, there are “over 33000 books” available for download.
You will not be able to get the modern classics (eg works by Kurt Vonnegut, Anthony Burgess, JD Salinger, etc) as they are still protected by copyright, and downloading them for free is illegal, but ones that are from the early 20th century and older are mostly available.
For older books, published before 1923, start with:
http://www.gutenberg.org
http://manybooks.net
http://www.feedbooks.com
http://www.munseys.com
http://www.fullbooks.com
http://www.webliterature.net
Then do a search for “free e-books” and you will find many more links.
Newer books are under copyright protection, so you will have a much harder time finding free e-book editions. The exception is to visit the website of your local library for legal, newer downloads.
