Not sure, if consider that her breathing is affected by the MS and could also be affected by the cold, that could want a shut eye retaining on it.
I never know a lot about MS but I would say attempt calling NHS direct if you are in the Uk, or the out of several hours GP support at your nearby surgery (they generally have this number on the ansaphone). You can then notify the GP on get in touch with more than the mobile phone the scenario and permit him make a decision whether or not to call or depart it till early morning. Or you could ring the neighborhood hospital and consult to be set via to the neurology ward/neurologist or neurological nurse on contact for any advice – esp if the specialist your mum normally sees functions at that hospital then they might assist. Or any MS helpline support groups.
Great Luck and well accomplished seeking after your mum, it must be hard

Also be aware that fever can cause a pseudoflair in MS patients. The MS symptoms, especially fatigue and weakness can increase, but subsides when the fever breaks. Personally, overheating with hot showers and work/exercise don’t bother me but any little bit of fever wipes me out.
I have MS. All I know, is that everytime I have ever had the flu, cold, sore throat, it has always caused a flare up.
