Question by a proud woman: How can we get away from scam? People are even trying to scam me when i ask questions about money scams?
I asked a yahoo question about is a particular company a scam and people have been responding saying that they did it before and it is a scam and then providing me websites to more different types of scam to scam me some more. That is so cruel, especially with how the economy has no job and people can’t afford to be getting scammed at all, why is this happening? what has our world come to?

The virtual world of the Internet is no different than the “real” world of everyday life.

Both have their share of con-men (and woman), thieves, charlatans, scammers, predators and general @$ $ ~h0le$ .

The internet simply mirrors real life. Just be careful, the internet can be a very nasty place.

    Sad but true.

If you don’t know the source of the email, assume it’s spam, because it is 99% of the time. Delete it immediately. If you open it, you have probably opened a whole array of other sources doing the same thing. It’s like a pyramid.

Once you’re in it’s well nigh impossible to get out.

Yup, it’s a crazy azzed world…and it ain’t gettin’ better.
One thing to watch out for when you get an answer is: it’s from a (usually) very recently created account (with low points), &/or the answer is very vague or not real relevant/specific to your query (like ‘this video will help you..’ or likewise).
And as stated above, be leary about clicking a direct link proffered to ‘help’ you out.
    Keep the faith.

People make money from scams…it’s sad, really.

The only way to get away from a scam is to just take preventative measures and make sure you don’t get hooked into in the first place.

If you’re ever unsure of whether or not a business is a scam, look it up here: http://us.bbb.org/WWWRoot/SitePage.aspx?site=113&id=6cda12e2-5967-437f-876e-bd452a591b91

(that’s not a scam, that’s the Better Business Bureau’s website. LOL. Don’t worry)
