Question by Eric D: Someone renting my cabin wants to plug their RV to my electricity for a week. How much is this going to cost?
I want to charge them an extra flat fee but don’t know how much…they say they need to plug in to keep the fridge on the RV running.

i don’t think it’s gonna be too much becuase mi house consummes avarege 110 a month so an rv should not use any more than that, so if your gonna charge them for 1 week i suggest something around 50 just to make sure .
What do you think? Answer below!

The $ 50 fee already suggested is really on the high side, $ 25 would be more real world, but is still more than enough to cover and additional power use.
The real question is this: an average RV has a 20′ power cord to attach to power and has a 30 amp connection…do you have an outside power plug that they can park the RV close enough to your cabin, without hitting something? You have to allow for 12’6″ of roof clearance for the RV and most are now 8’6″ wide.
The second part of the question is: is the location where they can park, level enough for the RV’s frig to work? If it isn’t, is their RV equipped with jacks to level it…or do they need to bring a bunch of wood to manually level it?
Remember, if they can’t level it close enough to your cabin, or able to plug into it, then they can park where needed, and just run the frig on L.P. They just need to make sure the L.P. tank is filled when they come.
