you need to find a college to go to with a good fashion design program. there are many facets of fashion design, so anyone can find a job in it, even if you are not the most talented…so don’t let that discourage you…there are a lot of people out there who want to do this job, and only the most talented become famous. right now if you’re in high school, definitively sign up for the art classes. learning how to figure draw (that is draw people’s bodies)can help you when you get to college.

A fashion design well… designs cloths. They create different outfits that would be released into the industry and eventually sold in stores. The courses you would pick would be art, textiles, sewing and other related classes. I would check out http://www.designerbloc.com/ it’s a community for fashion designers to display their designs, get community feedback, and meet other designers. It would be a good place for you to show your designs and get in touch with the industry.
